Hand and Wrist
Whether you work in an office, take care of the home, or have a job that requires frequent lifting and pulling, hand and wrist injuries can have a tremendous impact on your daily routine and quality of life. The Center for Regenerative Sports & Spine
Care offers a variety of targeted, nonsurgical treatments to help restore strength and dexterity. If you suffer from any of the following hand or wrist conditions, we invite you to schedule an appointment at our practice in Atlanta, GA:
- Radioulnar ligament tear: The radioulnar ligaments help stabilize the connection between the two forearm bones near the wrist. Injury to these ligaments can create pain, weakness, clicking, or difficulty with twisting motions
such as turning a doorknob or using tools.
- TFCC tear: A TFCC tear involves damage to the triangular fibrocartilage complex, a structure that cushions and stabilizes the wrist on the pinky-finger side. Patients often notice pain with gripping, rotation, weight-bearing
through the wrist, or repetitive hand use.
- Trigger finger: Trigger finger develops when irritation and thickening affect the tendon that bends the finger, making smooth movement more difficult. The finger may catch, lock, or snap during motion, especially first thing
in the morning or after repetitive gripping activity.
- Wrist instability: Wrist instability refers to excessive or poorly controlled movement between the small bones of the wrist. Ligament injury, repetitive strain, or connective tissue laxity can make the wrist feel weak, painful,
or unreliable during lifting, pushing, or weight-bearing activities.
